Physical Description The
PROFILER™ is a linear array of 48 radiation hardened diode detectors. The detectors are spaced at every 5 mm, and are suitable for both Photon and Electron energies. Beam size at 100SSD is 20cm x 20cm.
The PROFILER™ diode array is imbedded beneath 1 cm of intrinsic H2O equivalent buildup. The entire product weighs only 8.5 pounds, and is used directly on the treatment
couch, or in the available gantry attachment.
Applications PROFILER™ applications range from Dynamic or Virtual Wedge commissioning and Tissue Compensator QA, all the way to Monthly Flatness checks and beam troubleshooting.

PC Communication The PROFILER™ communicates with a host computer via a single 25 M cable. The host computer is the comprehensive interface and storage device for the PROFILER™, which supports Windows 95 and higher, as well as Windows NT.
Real-Time Analysis PROFILER™ data is viewed on the PC screen in real time, and can be viewed in either dose or rate mode. Profiles just taken can be easily compared against earlier profiles with the click of a mouse. Automatic analysis routines provide a wealth of data viewable in real time as the beam is on.
Data Storage Virtually unlimited Beam profiles can be saved for later analysis and/or comparison.
Accuracy The PROFILER™ uses pre-irradiated p-type diode detectors that offer exceptional long-term stability. For 6MV beams, diode sensitivity will change less than 2% over 100,000 MU.

The Profiler is available with many useful accessories that will enhance it's functionality.

Examples of Use

Previously stored reference images may be compared to the currently measured profile in a matter of minutes.

Stored profiles may be retrieved and compared to either another stored profile or a real time image.

A reference profile can be obtained at zero gantry angle and compared, in real time, with the beam image as the gantry is rotated

Dynamic and virtual wedge routines can be viewed in real time. The shape of the wedge can be viewed, stored and compared.
