Prostate Stabilisation Set

Improve Radioactive Implant Seed/Strand Distribution by Immobilizing 

the Prostate Gland During Transperineal "Seeding" Procedures.

 

A unique, patented device designed to prevent movement of the prostate gland

while either applicator-compatible or pre-loaded seeding needles are being 

inserted. Immobilisation is achieved by deploying a side barb in the prostate

tissue and securing a locking spring against the proximal side of the needle

template.The needles must be used in sets of two for proper stabilisation.

 

FEATURES INCLUDE:

  • Two-part hub separates, locking the side barb in position. Unlocking

    is accomplished by pushing the two part hub back together.

  • The narrow side of the white, teardrop shaped hub indicates the 

    deployment position of the side barb and the orientation of the 

    needle point.

  • The needle point is exceptionally sharp, allowing easy penetration 

    of the perineum.

  • Each needle has an echogenic tip, providing accurate placement

    under ultrasound guidance.
