Puncture and biopsy procedures

Type 8658/8558 is particularly useful for transperineal puncture; by viewing both sagittal and transverse planes, the needle is visible throughout puncture and biopsy.

The metal puncture attachment UA 1232 is specially designed for transperineal puncture and biopsy.

Type 8658/8558 is used with Stepper /Stabilizer/Template Systems specified, during perineal puncture, prostate volume determination and brachytherapy.
 
An ideal choice for the treatment of prostate diseases 
 
Type 8658/8558 transducer is an elegantly shaped instrument with multifrequency, biplane and colour Doppler capabilities. It is an excellent choice for all transperineal procedures including brachytherapy because of its unique long sagittal array for a base to apex view.

The ability to scan both transversely and sagittally also makes prostate volume determination particularly easy when using the HWL method – even more so when used in combination with the scanner’s split-screen facility.
