CDX2000B Electrometer

The CDX 2000B Electrometer, SeeDOS Code Number 90001 combines the best features of the CDX 2000A and the user interface developed for the highly acclaimed MAX 4000 Electrometer, providing the high performance for which these electrometers are known.

Wide Range Allows Both External Beam & Brachytherapy Measurements

Excellent for absolute dosimetry measurements with standard farmer and parallel plate ion chambers. Extremely reliable and precise for high dose rate and most low dose rate brachytherapy calibrations. Five decade Amp range with 10pA resolution; extremely extensive Coulomb range 10pC to 999,999nC.

Easy To Use

A few pressure sensitive buttons control all operations, providing quick and simple operation. User activated automatic zeroing – press a button and you are ready to measure. Rechargeable battery operation with percent of battery charge displayed on screen. Compact, stable, lightweight and easily transported.

Powerful Digital Microprocessor Operation

Large, easy to read, 2 row by 20 column LCD display; visible from a distance and in low light. Displays Amps, Coulombs, collection time, and also bias voltage and battery charge level. Digital operation provides 0.1% repeatability, and exceptionally low leakage of < 1fA. Digital filter nearly eliminates the effects of noise, resulting in an extremely stable reading. Auto shut-off after 3 hours, if no buttons are pushed. Unidirectional RS-232 port and RJ-45 to DB-9 adapter allow direct computer interface for data capture and storage.

UNIQUE TIMING CAPABILITIES

The unique timing feature is ideally suited for brachytherapy calibration measurements. The CDX2000B can capture charge for a selected amount of time during an exposure, thereby eliminating end effects or other variable portions of an exposure. This application is very useful during the measurement of high and low dose rate brachytherapy sources allowing you to measure charge only during the time the source is in place and the rate is constant.

TG51 (Task Group 51, USA)

The CDX 2000B, combined with the fully waterproof, fully guarded Exradin chambers, meets the requirements of the new TG 51 Protocol in the USA. The Exradin A12 Farmer-type chamber, Exradin A1 Miniature Shonka Thimble Chamber, and the Exradin P11 Parallel Plate Chamber are characterized in the TG 51 Protocol.
